issaquah project

Tucked between the mountains and the river, this home quickly trades city noise for quiet warmth the second you walk through the front door. We envisioned this property as a refined riverside cottage, blending traditional elements with a laid-back, West Coast ease. The design intended to feel both cozy and bright, ensuring the interiors act as a seamless extension of the landscape just beyond the glass.

The textiles were selected to balance the cottage’s quirks with a sense of established comfort. We layered heavy linens and slipcovers to create a tactile environment that softens the home’s structured lines. To add visual interest, we mixed traditional geometric patterns, pairing plaids and ginghams with boucle and velvets, giving the space a layered feeling.

The color palette brings the outside in, using moss greens and slate blues to mirror the riverbank. We punctuated these earthy tones with pops of deep reds for sophisticated and unexpected contrast. The result? A space that feels collected, cozy, and perfect for this young family.
